About the Exhibition //

The "Fleeting Logs“ exhibition presents a series of recent paintings created in digital media and oil paint, which revolves around the fleeting nature of the moment, emotions, and associated memories.

The works originate from the recent changes in social patterns, where people have to spend more time alone and inevitably face their internal states, which are usually disappeared or (deliberately) forgotten soon.

Using the painting language to transform those fragmented memories and imaginations into still images to reexamine and prevent them from fading with time. Painting in this context is not only documentation but also a process and carrier for visualizing abstract memories and imaginary images. Meanwhile, the value of reproducible images is explored by reflecting on the meaning and functionality of painting in the contemporary/digital age.
